About Kutztown Community Partnership KUTZTOWN COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP (KCP), doing business as Northeast Berks Main Street Foundation, was formally and legally established in February 7, 2002, as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. However, over 30 business owners, many organizations and concerned individuals have supported the efforts of KCP over the years previous to its legal conception, and our membership and support continue to grow steadily. Kutztown Community Partnership operates as an independent nonprofit, nonaffiliated, community oriented and community supported organization. Because we are community supported, we are community driven. KCP will be the "voice" or lobby for both public and business improvement and historical preservation issues during the downtown revitalization process. KCP works together with other area civic and nonprofit groups as a partner in mutual support of projects that are beneficial to the Kutztown community and downtown. KCP is currently working toward a Main Street Communities grant for funding from the state (DCED), which must be matched by our community contributions, local lending support, fund-raising, and endowments from local sources. Its directors, team coordinators and members attend training workshops and seminars on various topics related to downtown revitalization throughout the year.
